Softshare's successful participation in the ACORD SOAP Messaging Pilot earned us recognition for our cutting-edge support of the new SOAP business framework. Softshare will accept the award at the upcoming ACORD/LOMA Insurance Systems Forum being held in Las Vegas, May 23-24.
The ACORD pilot focused on SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol), an XML-based business framework used to transport, route, and package XML or other types of e-commerce data via HTTP. During the pilot, Softshare demonstrated that its 4.0 versions of Softshare Delta® and Softshare ECS® (to be released shortly) were able to successfully receive, translate, and create SOAP messages. In fact, the pilot has really helped Softshare gear up Delta and ECS 4.0 to support all types of XML-based business frameworks. When used in tandem, these two products are flexible enough to handle all types of XML-based business frameworks such as SOAP, ebXML, and BizTalk, and so on. Many of the new features introduced into the 4.0 product line were implemented to improve Softshare's support of XML as we are seeing it being used more and more today—in the context of Web services and business standards.
