Over the years, Softshare has added many helpful features to our e-commerce software that go above and beyond each application’s core functions. To introduce you to these lesser-known Athena, Vista, Delta, and ECS features—and hopefully, make your job easier in the process—we’re going to highlight one of these features each month. This month, we’d like to highlight a feature found in Softshare Vista.
The find feature in Vista lets you search Vista’s desktop folders for any documents (EDI or e-mail) that contain a specific keyword, group of keywords, or phrase.
Available from Vista’s menu bar under Tools|Find, the find feature is very flexible. From the search screen
, you can limit your search to a folder or family of folders, the message subject or body, or the message sender or recipient. In addition, you can require Vista to match on one keyword only, multiple keywords, or an exact phrase.
The results of your search are displayed in a separate window. From this window, you can open any matching document.
The next time a document goes missing, but you know it’s in Vista somewhere, use the find feature to immediately locate and open it. Thank you!
