Softshare Goes International with Offices in Amsterdam

On January 1, 2005, Softshare will be opening its doors in the Netherlands. We intend to take the European market by storm this year and so we decided to have an official presence on the other side of the Atlantic.

Amsterdam, with its laid-back culture and abundant technical workforce, is an ideal site for our new sister company, Softshare B.V. The "B.V." stands for "besloten vennootschap," the equivalent of "incorporated" in our language.

Softshare and Softshare B.V. are closely tied, sharing a network and acting as redundant back-up sites for each other in case of a catastrophic failure at either end. In addition, Softshare B.V. will have its own Dutch sales and support departments.

Beginning in February, you may have occasion to interact with Softshare B.V. Amsterdam is nine hours ahead of the West coast so any high-priority customer issues that arise after closing in the U.S. will be attended to by our bilingual Dutch support team (their workday begins at 11pm PST which is 8am Central European Time). They will be monitoring all e-mails that come in via our support@softshare.com alias or via our eService customer support request form.

We anticipate that most middle-of-the-night issues can be resolved over e-mail, but Softshare's voicemail system will reference the numbers for the Amsterdam office in case there's a need to make immediate contact with a Softshare representative. You can also find those numbers at www.softshare.com/contact. While you're there, visit our new http://www.softshare.com/nl site.

Welkom Softshare B.V.!
