Softshare ECS 3.0 Release
Softshare is proud to announce the latest addition to our impressive 3.0 product suite: Softshare ECS. Here are just a few of the great new features you’ll find in this release:
- Enhanced performance. Multi-threaded, queue-based routing protocols and other key architectural enhancements let ECS route and track your business data more efficiently than ever.
- Advanced tracking for EDI data. ECS’ advanced tracking system for EDI data makes keeping tabs on your business documents a breeze. Now, directly from the Data Administrator utility, you can track the entire life cycle of each EDI document sent from or to ECS, along with key transaction details such as sender and recipient information and acknowledgment statuses.
- EDI event watches. Versatile, easy-to-configure event watches let ECS automatically generate notification e-mails or Log Viewer entries when EDI documents are received, delivered, translated, or when various other system events occur for them. Flexible setup criteria let you make your watches as general or specific as needed.
- Data formatting pipelines. This new feature for input channels and output queues lets you format data in unlimited combinations of ways when receiving it into or sending it from ECS. For example, you can remove or replace specific characters in each file or convert to and from common formats such as ASCII, EBCDIC, and Unicode.
- Secure FTP. This new feature for FTP input channels and output queues lets you securely communicate with FTP servers via the Transport Layer Security (TLS) or Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol.
- Microsoft Message Queuing support. For organizations that use Microsoft Message Queuing (MSMQ) to communicate among distributed applications, ECS supports seamless, complete MSMQ integration. Reading from or writing to any queue in your MSMQ architecture is as easy as creating a new MSMQ input channel or output queue in ECS.
The best news of all is that, if you’re running ECS 1.0, you can upgrade to 3.0 for only $497.50 if you have a Softshare maintenance contract (or $995 without a maintenance contract).
