Softshare requires 90 days after the official release of a new operating system to thoroughly test and guarantee compatibility with our applications. With the release of Windows Vista in late January, we’re currently working to ensure its compatibility with Softshare Vista, Delta, and ECS.
Like many companies that design Windows-compatible products, Softshare is asking that you hold off on upgrading to Windows Vista until we give you the go-ahead. The architectural changes that Microsoft made to its latest Windows product are significant and could negatively impact how our current products operate.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll continue in-depth testing of the new operating system and assess what Softshare software updates, if any, are necessary for compatibility. We’ll inform you as soon as we deem our products to be compatible with Windows Vista. Until then, thank you for your patience.
