Softshare Unveils Web Services ToolkitThe dynamic duo of Softshare Delta and Softshare ECS becomes a tremendous trio with the addition of the Softshare Web Services Toolkit. Santa Barbara, US / Amsterdam, NL.February 3, 2005 Softshare, a provider of e-commerce products and services since 1982, released the Softshare Web Services Toolkit today. The toolkit is a collection of advanced product features, documentation, and tutorials that facilitate the implementation of Web services. "Web services are gaining industry-wide acceptance, quickly moving from proof-of-concept deployments to actual usage in mission-critical enterprise applications," said Colette Williams, Softshare's Vice President of Operations. "The Web Services Toolkit is designed as a quick-start to implementing Web services at any enterprise without the need for writing custom code in either .Net or Java." Available for $2995, the Web Services Toolkit works in conjunction with Softshare Delta®, Softshare's data translator, and Softshare ECS©, Softshare's electronic commerce server, two key e-commerce applications used across a variety of industries. The toolkit includes in-depth tutorials that walk the user through the implementation of sample solutions for three common XML messaging formats: ACORD, ebXML, and RosettaNet. Each tutorial comprises sample Delta maps and models, XML schemas/DTDs, sample data, and step-by-step instructions. Installing the Web Services Toolkit also enables a number of XML security features and functions in Delta including digitally signing, encryption, and authentication of XML data. In addition, access to a test HTTP server at Softshare's end is provided for users to exchange XML messages and test the full range of delivery and response features for their Web services solutions.
