Softshare Vista™ Bridges with iSoft® Commerce Suite to Provide a Second Option for AS2 Compliance

Softshare Vista, an AS1-compliant application, expands its suite of data transport methods with the addition of AS2 compliance

Santa Barbara, CA—August 7, 2003— Softshare Inc., a provider of EDI products and services, announced today that it will begin offering a second AS2 solution to its Softshare Vista desktop clients to further assist its clients' compliance efforts with the AS2 communications model required by some large retail chains such as Wal-Mart and Food Lion. The iSoft solution entails a custom bridge that seamlessly transfers EDI documents from Softshare Vista to iSoft® Commerce Suite for AS2 security application and delivery via the Internet.

The Softshare iSoft AS2 Bridge solution is virtually transparent. Softshare Vista users will continue to enjoy attractive, template-based forms for the creation and viewing of EDI documents while the custom bridge interacts with iSoft® Commerce Suite behind the scenes for AS2 compliance. By integrating these two applications, Softshare is able to provide an inexpensive (under $1000) AS2 solution for small businesses faced with this new technology.
